“So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen.

For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

2 Corinthians 4:18

Excerpts of a November Newsletter from Kirk Rautio:

Many blessings have been seen here at the ARC during the 2020 season. We were blessed again this year with interns who studied at the FLBC as well as some returning members from 2019. This has served as a tremendous blessing as two members were given at no cost to the ARC. One member was sponsored by their church and the other member worked on a volunteer basis. Having the opportunity to have these young adults on property is an honor. We get to train them in different disciplines they might not have thought of being something they could do or even wanted to be doing. Set them into opportunities to be a light to kiddos and youth at camps and share their faith in ways that they might not have considered a ministry opportunity. Teaching them that ministry is not always about the harvest and that sometimes we are called to sow or tend to the field while the seeds are growing. Having faith in what they do everyday has eternal value to the Kingdom. Praise be to the Lord for His continued guidance and blessings.

Through God’s provision and grace, tough operational decisions, sacrifices, and our beloved donors, the ARC will come out of the 2020 season leaner, tougher, and positioned to thrive in the 2021 year. There have been many facilities like the ARC that have had to close for the season and some of them permanently. This has created an opportunity for the ARC to broaden its customer base significantly. We have signed many new retreats that needed to look for a new home and have found one here. Several of them have already resigned for the 2021 season.

Even though it has been a blessed season on multiple fronts, the ARC, like many other ministries, face a gap in finances to survive the winter. As of this letter, we are facing an $87K short fall. In facing this, we hold tight to God and His promises. With Him at the lead we will continue to ‘press onward’ into 2021 with hope and praise in our hearts. We have received a generous $20,000 matching challenge to help us end the year well. An anonymous donor will match all donations up to $20,000 given to the ARC through December 31, 2020. We are referring to this opportunity as ‘Kingdom Gift 2020’. This unexpected gift is another answer to prayer, and an opportunity for you to help the ARC. We are asking you to prayerfully make a financial gift to the ARC, and to share this opportunity with others. We truly believe that seeking God’s face through every situation, including this one, allows us to fix our eyes on Jesus and He will far exceed what we could imagine.

Thank you for diligently praying over the ARC as we seek God’s favor. Thank you for giving your time. Thank you for giving your finances. Blessings and prayers from all of us at the ARC!
