His Servants Update . . .

Ephesians 2:10       "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

If you or someone you know is in need, please let

us know.

First of all, very exciting news that the church Peter Ford serves as lay pastor in Louisiana has decided to financially support his expenses in order to attend the Summer Institute of Theology at the seminary this year.  That includes his expenses at the conference as well as his airfare.  We are thrilled that his home church has the finances to do so and that they feel the summer course is valuable.  We are still supporting a second lay pastor, Larry Robertson, from the same Parish, in that we will provide the cost of his airfare.  Larry is able to pay for the cost of the conference on his own.  The airfare cost is $438.00.

We also became aware of a need for a seminarian currently in his last year of training at our seminary by the name of Ganzorig Enkhjargal, Ganzo for short.  He and his wife and two young children were deported last year by our government, but were able to come back again after proving that they had enough funds to support themselves without his wife working.  A large amount of donations were received, but there is a budget deficit of $11,000.  We will be donating $1500.00 to the seminary in Ganzo's name to help offset that deficit.  If you feel that you would like to donate to this cause you may do so by writing a check to Emmanuel or Hauge and simply put "His Servents-Ganzo" in the memo portion of the check.  Upon his graduation, Ganzo is planning to return to his home in Mongolia to serve the Lord.

Pastor Johnson had the opportunity to provide some assistance to a family who just moved into the area recently.  He was approached by a woman asking for help.  He was able to pray with her and provide the $25.00 grocery gift card that His Servents provides for him as well as some other household items of his own.  He gave her a church brochure, but as of yet has not heard back.  But who knows, as he said we pray "that the seed was planted!!"

Various members of our Parish continue to visit, provide meals and transportation to those in need.  Each and all of these generous acts is so appreciated.  Please contact any of us if you are in need or are able to help.  Thank you so much.
